Here at Magenta, gifts are our love language. And we’re sharing home decor gift ideas that can help you spread the love, too.

Rae Dunn's newest addition to her Heritage collection has inspired us to wrap this year's home decor gifts for her and him in the most sentimental way. Rae’s global travels inspired this assortment of hand-made deckled edge gift wrap in two colors, paired with balls of cotton ribbon for tying off a lasting impression. How to Use Rae's Wrapping Paper

Watch this short clip to see how we used Rae's new wrapping paper to wrap her Heritage Black Icon Leather Artist A5 Journal to make the perfect holiday gift, and apply it to any of the items in our home decor gift guide.

Step 1

Lay out one sheet of Rae Dunn’s Handcrafted Wrapping Paper of your liking to size towards the object you want to wrap. If your gift is too big for one sheet of paper, no worries! Take as many sheets as you need and tape along the inside edges with double-sided scotch tape to create the perfect sized piece.

Step 2

Place the gift in the center of the paper. Once centered, cut off any access paper you do not need and set aside. Next, fold in the two horizontal sides until they are touching, grab about two inches of scotch tape to tape together to hold close.

Step 3

Depending on how your gift is shaped, begin to crease in edges and fold into the bottom half of the paper. Next you will take the bottom flap of the wrapping paper and fold it over the top, holding it down with another two-inch piece of tape. Repeat on the other side and flip over to make sure the top surface is smooth and flat.

Step 5

Lastly, embellish with Rae Dunn’s NEW Gingham Cotton Ribbon for a farmhouse finishing touch. Feel free to use any of the excess paper as a matching card to write a sweet note for your gif-tee to know who it is from. If you are going for a Christmas farmhouse theme this year, try incorporating Rae's ribbon around the Christmas tree to add contrast and tie in the overall look.

Do not forget to add gift tags, and ornaments like her Classic Stoneware Gift Tags or NEW Wilma Felt Ornaments.

Rae Dunn’s NEW Handcrafted Gift Wrap can be used time and time again, and serves not only as wrapping paper, but as decorative accents under your Christmas tree and more.

Good luck gift wrapping and Happy Holidays!
