Rae Dunn's utilitarian approach to designing ceramics is strongly
based on the Japanese aesthetic of wabi-sabi, the beauty
of things imperfect, impermanent and incomplete. Each piece has
a visual presence of its own and attempts to capture the simplicity
and playfulness that are the cornerstones of her life. All functional
wares are food and dishwasher safe.

Artful Environments offers a contemporary interpretation of stela:
an ancient stone slab bearing an inscription or design. Each stela
begins with an original, hand carved image impressed in clay. Once
the image is created, a clay slab or frame is added and the entire
piece is hand painted. The series of fruits, vegetables, flowers
and shells were chosen to celebrate the simplicity of the natural
world and the beauty of daily life, adding a touch of art and color
to your environment.

The small and subtle beauty found in the natural world is the inspiration
for the ceramics created by Whitney Smith Pottery. Whitney creates
eye-catching pottery by using clay as a medium to interpret the
arrangement of a leaf's vein pattern or the multiple layers of an
opening lotus flower. The result is pottery that is both useful
and creatively captures the beauty and function that is inherent
in nature.
